(reconstruction by György Galántai, based on George Maciunas’s idea, 2001)
George Maciunas’s idea and work made in 1976 was reconstructed by György Galántai on the occasion of the exhibition Impossible Realism in 2001. Maciunas imagined the Flux Ping Pong as a ping pong table with rackets being made unusable for playing ping pong: one half of the table has a big hole, the other half is not flat and not horizontal; the rackets are superposed with interfering objects and surfaces. Though the equipment is thus unusable, using it to play guarantees an extraordinary experiment. The audience had the opportunity to try to play on the table in the exhibition entitled Fuxus East – Fluxus Networks in Central Eastern Europe, which was organized in several venues; in the Fluxus (Sport) Events in 2011 at Galántai House in Kapolcs; and a different version was also on show in the frameworks of a project in Sidney in 2013 (http://artpool.hu/2013/fluxpingpong/).

A flyer for a solidarity event held at the Vienna Volkstheater on March 5, 1989, by large Viennese theaters to support Václav Havel. Václav Havel was arrested on January 16 for attending a demonstration during Palach Week, and in February was sentenced to nine months in prison. After his appeal and many foreign protests, the sentence was reduced and Havel was conditionally released in May 1989.
The leaflet shows the interest of the western public in the fate of Václav Havel, the most prominent representative of the Czechoslovak cultural and political opposition.
The flyer was exhibited at the exhibition „Czech Republic. Austria. Divorced - Separated - United / Lower Austria State Exhibition 2009 / State Chateau and City Gallery, Hasičský dům, Telč

The leaflet was created in August 1968 after the occupation of Czechoslovakia by five armies of the Warsaw Pact. From the beginning of the invasion on August 21, 1968, spontaneous demonstrations of resentment and opposition to the occupation took place. One of the demonstrations of resistance was the display of hundreds of posters, passwords and banners on walls, showcases, trams and buses, calling on the occupants to leave.
The leaflet proves that the population opposed the occupation openly and that even in this tedious and difficult situation, a sense of humor was not lost.
The flyer was exhibited at the exhibition, “…And tanks arrived/” Prague, National Museum, 2008.
