Following the change of the political system in 1989–1990, the one-time members of SZETA, Ottília Solt, Gábor Demszky, Ferenc Kőszeg, and others, requested the secret police files on their activities, and the newly established Historical Archives of the State Security Services (ÁBTL) released more and more copies of the relevant files.
