The Hans-Fallada Foundation was legally approved by a donation from the city of Neubrandenburg in 2000. Its principle tasks are the maintenance of the estate of and propagation of research concerning Hans Fallada as well as his persona. The fulfillment of the foundation’s goals has been assumed by the Neubrandenburg Literary Center, which also acts in a similar capacity for the Brigitte-Reimann Archive.
