Museum Kampa was opened in 2003 as part of a contract between Meda Mládková (the Jan and Meda Mládek Foundation) and the City of Prague. Prague rented the building Sovovy Mlýny to the foundation and the foundation donated one part of the collection to the City of Prague. The exhibition covers topics connected to the art of Central Europe.
