Kolekcija atskleidžia Lietuvos istoriko Rimanto Jaso (1929-2002) gyvenimą ir veiklą. Jasas niekada nevadino savęs disidentu. Net po Sovietų Sąjungos žlugimo jis nekalbėjo apie savo dalyvavimą pogrindžio savilaidoje, akcentavo tik istoriko profesionalumo darbą. Kolekcijos bylos liudija jo artumą disidentiniam judėjimui, ypač bendradarbiavimą su sovietiniu disidentu ir politiniu kaliniu Vytautu Skuodžiu (1929-2016). Jasas dalyvavo leidyboje pogrindžio leidinio „Perspektyvos“, kuris buvo vienas iš labiausiai pripažintų pogrindžio leidinių kultūrinės inteligentijos tarpe.

Throughout his life, Károly Hetényi Varga has searched for and collected the biographical information of clericals who suffered from persecution by the Nazis and communists. Thanks to his interest and devoted efforts, an impressive body of work has formed. Hetényi Varga didn’t study history at a university, however. He created a unique, specific research system, the results of which remain indispensable to us.

During the flood in August, 2002, a part of the Popmuseum collection in Prague was destroyed and most of the collection was damaged. There was a search for a new venue as the institution dealt with recovering and rescuing the collection. The then venue of the institution on the Besední street, Prague, was destroyed and the equipment, sound media and complete collections, estates, books and magazines stored there were flooded. A restoration of the documents, drying, classification and new registering of the items were possible thanks to help by the National Museum. Most of the lent items and documents were returned to their owners after restoration. A part of the collection, specifically LPs, LP covers, photos etc., was moved to Brno for an expert restoration and deposited in Stará pekárna at the Štefánikova street, Brno. The rest of the collection was recently moved to a depository in Horní Počernice, Prague and since 2005, some of the collection is also stored in the cultural centre Kaštan in Břevnov, Prague. Since then, it has been made the official headquarters of the institution as a permanent exhibition and most of the thematic temporary exhibitions and other popular events take place there.

The second independent exhibition by Goran Pavelić Pipo was held in 2002 at the Student Centre Gallery in Zagreb. Pavelic exhibited photographs from the end of the 1970s to the end of the 1980s. On the photographs in the exhibition, there were numerous people who then made the public scene, but also random passers-by. It is worth pointing out that Igor Mirković's documentary film Sretno dijete (Happy Child) about the new wave scene in Zagreb and in the former Yugoslavia was conceptualized around Pavelić's exhibition.

The documentary very extensively covered by the media. Also, the publishing company V.D.T., together with Pavelić, printed the exhibition catalogue, also entitled “Zagreb, eighties ...: photographs.” The photos from the catalogue were used several times in several documentary films about the new wave scene without the permission of Goran Pavelic Pipo, and the author had to request help from the copyright agency.

The exhibition titled "A Century of Croatian Periodicals in the Croatian Diaspora from 1900 to 2000" (Izložba Stoljeće hrvatske periodike u iseljeništvu 1900.-2000.) was held in Zagreb at the National and University Library. It took place from 5 December 2002 to 7 January 2003. Editors of the exhibition catalogue and the exhibition organisers were Branko Hanž and Nada Mihaljević.

The exhibition included serials published abroad during the time of socialist Yugoslavia, exhibits pages expressing anti-communist and opposition activities. Branko Hanž, one of the authors of the exhibition, is well known for his endeavours in storing the so-called unsuitable books during the period of socialism, and which he presented to the Croatian public at this exhibition.
